Individual Counseling for women

Something in life may not have turned out as you had expected. You may have come to a point in life where doing “all the right things” isn’t getting you what you want. Disappointments are sometimes the passageway for transformation. This is where our work begins.

Counseling for Creatives

We are all creatives. As a creator, the inside of you is meant to be seen on the outside of you — for your internal being to be reflected in the external. It’s this congruence between the inside and the outside of you that makes connection possible. As you open, the entire world opens, too. To be open to what’s inside of you can feel vulnerable. You may not understand it or know where it’s going to lead. You may not want to put it out to be seen. Love makes it possible. Whether you call yourself an artist or not, counseling can help you connect with yourself and with what inspires you most.

Virtual Counseling

For your safety and mine, all sessions will be by phone or video. I use HIPAA compliant platforms that are secure means of communication. Virtual counseling allows for greater flexibility and accessibility while also being highly effective.

Lifespan Integration

Lifespan Integration (LI) is a practical healing tool for people who are dealing with anxiety, depression, or trauma in their lives. Creator Peggy Pace describes LI as “a gentle, body-based therapy that relies on the innate ability of the body-mind to heal itself. Clients who have completed Lifespan Integration therapy report that they feel better about life, are more self-accepting, and are better able to enjoy their intimate relationships.” LI helps create more fluid, flexible thinking, more self-acceptance, and the ability to live with the uncertainties of life.  It helps create connections to our inner wisdom, a more full knowing, that can be lived in life situations.

I have incorporated LI in my work since 2007 and have found that it helps people access emotions, memories, and ways of thinking that they haven't been able to surface before.  When the unconscious becomes conscious, integration to form a full self can happen. For more information on LI, see www.lifespanintegration.com.

trauma counseling

Trauma can interfere with our connection to ourselves, and therefore our connection to others.  It can disrupt our access to inner wisdom and the ability to process information in a loving, generous way.  Therapy, including lifespan integration, can increase our connection to ourselves and the parts of us that long to be included.  When we feel more connected to our total selves, we have the ability to connect more with the world around us.

FAQs

therapy works best when we meet weekly. it’s not always possible, but it’s great when it is.

How do i know when i’ve found the right therapist?

Fees and Insurance

Individual therapy is $150 per 50-minute session and $200 per 80-minute session. I am an in-network provider with Premera. I bill as an out-of-network provider for most other insurances. Every insurance plan is different, so please check with your carrier to see what your individual coverage is.

What we have to be is what we are.
